Arrived Friday evening to a drum run. About a dozen fish caught - none by me. Fished hard till around 2. Crash. Hit the beach early AM. Pretty slow. Dudes fishing on the south side of the Point were catching some big blues. Managed a keeper pup. At low tide, there was a good run of blues and Spanish at the bar in the hook on Glass Minnows. Lot of fun. Saturday night, I got a yearling. Then another run of reds with another dozen landed. Sunday was beautiful. Caught up with Neil and crew yakin' baits out on the Knuckle. Teo picks up a big red first thing in the AM. I get rigged up and launch the yak. Couple other yakers out. Tool around the hook up to the shoals. Looking for cobia, saw two sea turtles, big school of fat back, huge rays, Spanish, blues, then, finally, the cobia. Got off two good casts with yellow bucktail but the fish is not interested. Return to the beach to regroup. Back on the water. Saw another three fish - cast to two. No takers. Something's wrong. Back to the beach and pick up Neil and Marshall. Back out. Saw several more. Neil hooks into a monster but looses it after about 2 seconds. Talk about exciting! Made one more lap before dark. Not to be this day. Left around dusk, beat up, worn out, and completely stoked. Until next time...

The hightlights of my weekend was getting 2 pink slips for the trips, one is about 15mph over posted limit, which may cost me some money and a few points taken off :( , the other is a paper for the wall, and sharing memories with good friends and new friends the whole time... :D see y'all on the sand...

It was great fishing with ya'll this weekend and as soon as this knee will let me (meaning when the doc and the wife) give me the go ahead I will drag out my yak and flop around (meaning I will look like a fat boy on a bobber) and paddle out with ya the next go around.
