Fished all day at the Jax pier with friends. The weather was wonderful, the ocean like glass and the water crystal clear.
Among the fish landed yesterday were a 28# Kingfish, several nice spanish macks, and a mean ol' 'Cuda. I had my K-rig out all day, but no takers. I guess my turn will come...;) We had a school of big Jacks swim thru the baits a couple of times, but none would hit. A small tarpon was briefly hooked up, but it managed to get loose. Here's the King, and the 'Cuda

The bottom fishing was slow, but the fish were good. We also caught a few trout floating live shrimp.
We caught a bunch of small Spanish, and a LOAD of Sennets(sp?) throwing gotcha's.
MY catch of the day was a 18" flounder using a Gulp! Shrimp on a jighead...It was awesome(no other word will do, sorry) watching the sand boil up and seeing that fish attack and eat my lure. I was about to give up on those things, but now I know that they DO work. Bought a couple more packs on the way home.
Here's a pic of the fish I brought home, and another of me with my FIRST Gulp! flounder, and my buddy Thomas with a nice trout. :D That biggest whiting on top hit a casting jig...
