Whitting.......

Caught more than I thought I could. Must have had twenty or more before I got bored. They hit from sun up till about 9:30 on shrimp, clams, gulp, might have hit a shell if presented right. You could fill a cooler in no time. If you like whitting fish the first trough and no further. Only about 5 feet from the slight drop off just off the beach. Would be great for light tackle and kids...:D

I recently tried Gulp in the surf...no hits even when shrimp were working.
tried putting it on a small red jig and alsoo on a plain hook.
I used 3" molting shrimp(gray)

How do YOU use them, preperation,presentation, size, color etc?

They don't always work. I have had them out fish real bait and had them not get a bite but real was working. Not sure why. I have just used them on pompano rigs and any other way you would use real bait. I have put "strips" on jigs and that seems to help add some sent to the mix.
