Wishin I Was Fishin Salt

First, thanks to all you fisherpeople that keep fishin and postin the good stuff. When your landlocked, like me, its good to get on here and read the reports. I know ya'all fish hard and I appreciate the time you take to share the story. I have been coming to Tybee since 1987, and I will return soon. Again, thanks for the vision.

P.S. Im not totally landlocked, I live 3 miles from Douglas Lake, TN. For what its worth, I have been slayin the white bass in the jumps. New shad hatch!!!:)

Hey Prater. Just wanted to say hi. I moved to coastal GA last year from Knoxville. I seem to have a lot of relatives that want to come down and visit because they were wishing they were salt fishing also. I have always just been a casual what's biting kind of fisherman and didn't understand why they were so anxious to hit the saltwater, until we started landing some big fish and having plenty of bigger ones break off.

At least you are near Douglas. It's fun jerking the white bass out one right after the other.

Not much of a Vols fan myself even though I went to UT and managed 5 UT stores while I was in school. The football games are fun to go to though - regardless of who you pull for!!!

I caught a couple Bonnethead sharks. One was pretty small (about 24") and the other was decent size, about 40" long. Didn't have the camera nearby of course.

I got out there late and the tide was already coming in pretty quick.
