Was gonna put in at the pier this morning, but the Sound was whitecapping at 30 minutes after daylight....:eek: Weatherman LIED to me today..:rolleyes: I was also unsuccessful trying to get mud minnows this morning as well...It was starting out all bad...
Started thinking of plan B, and decided to fish around the ICW since the wind wasn't near as bad.
Put the 'Yak in the water at The Old Boat House, and began fishing toward the causeway bridge. I fished under the bridge, and around a small private marina, before the wind just plain ran me off...
I managed to catch one 16" flounder in the mouth of my usual mud minnow creek. His pic is now my new avatar, and he still guards the mouth of the creek...:)
Loaded up and headed for Cedar Creek, which is a good spot, but hard to launch there. I fished from the bank for about 15 minutes, before deciding to skip unloading the 'yak, and head on home.
Not the best of days, but not the Worst, either!
