I have never considered a Kayak to do fishing until now. Seems everyone that owns one and fishes from it has better succsess that people with boats. I guess you can get closer to the fish without spooking them, anyway this is a way for me to get off the surf and on the water being it is much cheaper to approach it this way and it seems to be a blast to fish from a kayak! I have been doing some research and I am considering buying either the Scrambler XL or Caper since they can bear more weight since I am a little beer heavy. They seem to be up my alley in terms of size and weight loads! Can anyone give a little more advice on these two Kayaks.

I used to have a Caper and loved it. That, the Drifter, and Scrambler all have the smaller tank well though, so you can't put a full size milk crate in there. Wal-Mart sells a crate that fits perfectly. The Drifter holds a ton of weight. There are some other nice yaks for big people but they are all considerably more $$ than the Drifter.

Good luck!
