Chicks Beach wreck??

I was wondering if anyone has come accross the wreck posted near shore about half way between the CBBT and the Lynnhaven Inlet.

The chart shows the hull above water at low tide (if I'm reading it right???).

I've never noticed it before.

Nor did I know about the pilings East of the supposed wreck ... . :rolleyes:

Maybe that's the snag I've hit in the past???

The way the boats and Jet Skis come tearin' a** through there, I don't buy it.

Again, maybe I'm reading the chart wrong. This nautical stuff is all new to me.

there are/were several wrecks in that area, but they get covered up with sand quickly and normally only re appear after a big storm like isabel. I would guess that there is a wreck right there, but its probably under 5' of sand. there was another wreck right near the mouth of lynn inlet, a bunch of cannons got scavenged off of it by divers in the know

I believe the wreck outside the inlet was raised about a year or two ago... I remember reading an article in the paper about it.
