Spears are great in Aloha land.......I spent 3 years there, its INSANE what you can get into very close to shore....so I'm waiting to hear the stories

Spearfishing is fun and a way of life in the Pacific islands. I wish I could do it out here. But I am way to chicken to swim in water I can't see in while having fish tied to my belt.

just use a float, tied off with a surfboard leash and rope and put your fish on that....if you're really worried, cut the rope length in half with a slip knot so you can feel the pull if something takes it and have time to react and unhook the leash
