Tidewater Anglers Club Challenge

The Tidewater Anglers Club Challenge is September 8 and 9 and Tidewater Kayak Anglers Association has been asked to participate. We need to put together at least three and as many as 5 teams of five anglers. The target is everything that swims in the Chesapeake and the prize is bragging rights. Since the largest, second largest, and third largest fish of each species is awarded 3, 2, and 1 points respectively – we have a good chance to be competitive. In otherwords the biggest croaker is worth as many points as the biggest cobia. There will be a captains meeting at Marina Shores on the 8th and the “Save a fish, Eat a pig,” party on the 9th. The next TKAA meeting is August 9 at Ocean’s East II. The cost is 60 bucks each team, anyone interested in participating should bring 15 bucks. I’ll have entry forms and copies of the rules. Once we get anglers signed up, we’ll want to have a meeting to put together teams and work out our strategy. This is the tournament in Tidewater – let’s show ‘em what we got!
