1100 low today...got to the water about 0800...caught one large sheep around 4 or 5 pounds...and three others in the two pound range..one pup drum..and a few reds...one was actually 14...fish seemed to be biting when we got there....they didnt do anything toward the bottom part of the tide...the last hour and a half of outgoing was sad:( and that is usually when they begin to hit...packed up and went to the pier..it was hot but the scenery was a bute:D ..didnt stay long...but I did see a couple of trout caught...one was a keeper..word from the marinas is that the trout are going berserk in the sounds and surrounding creeks...stories of 100+ trout being caught...:rolleyes: but we all know how fish stories go...going to try once more in the mornin...will post..:cool:

I finally made Tybee late Thursday night. The trip consisted of: 4 flounder on mud minnows-back river and creek, 1 small sheepie on fiddler-North Beach Jetty, 2 trout on live shrimp-Main Pier, 4 small sharks on shrimp-Main Pier. I hooked a nice Sheepie on the main pier, but hook came free. Also, battled a large ray on back river for 10 minutes with same result. I did not have enough time to fish, 2 days, but I will make my annual fall trip and not be as rushed. Good Luck...

PS. What in the world is breaking all the water at the Fort? I was there a couple of hours after close free lining and there were schools of fish busting on top? I don't know? They were out of reach.:rolleyes:

Jacks and/or tarpon most likely. I was going to come up in a couple weeks to visit my mom and go fishing, but the car accident nixed that. No fishing for at least a month until the chiropractor and other doctors clear me for action again.:mad:

Clinder, pm me when the big reds start coming in, I'll make a trip up there.;)

Hasnt been the most productive fishing latelly...for only 2 days consider your creel higly efficient...there are those of us who fished all last week with little to no results...the force was with u my friend...dont forget to bring it with ya next time you come;)
