Hello all, great board look forward to some insight on surf fishing as im new to the gulf coast. Love the fishing down here, have been out almost every week for two months and am consistently catching bull reds near holly beach on mullet......at least when we can keep the hard heads off the line AVg weight has been 26lbs with a whopper of 43 caught last weekend. When can we expect other fish to be hitting the surf?

If you're consistently, regularly, catchin' 26lb. Reds in the surf, then you can teach us ALL something...:D
As for the Gulf Coast area, we used to have a pretty good member base there, but a few years back, red tides, hurricanes, and folks moving away kinda killed the Gulf Coast Board...It went dormant for a month or so, and it was cut off.
It appears that there has been some new interest in that area lately, so the board was resurrected...
Spread the word among folks you meet fishin', and build a good new board. It's pretty much up to you and Catfish right now, so run with it.
Looking forward to watching it go..:)
