Headed out for a quick day trip. Got to Packery around 10:00am. Channel was filled with weed on the Southside. Surfside was dirty with some good patches of green water. Around 3:30 the mullet were really get pushed by Jacks on the surfside and channel side. It was really a cool sight to see Jacks push the mullet so hard that they would beach themselves on the rock so you could pick them up. Ended up the day with one Jack(14.4lbs), two Reds(26.5"&22"). Another fisherman had a Jack on that took him from the surf to the end of the channel. He was on it for a good 15-20 minutes.
All fish caught on Mullet. Also saw some really good trout(22"-24") caught on lemon rigs and popping corks with live shrimp.
