Just got back from two weeks of fishing in Sanibel, FL.
On the lighthouse pier I managed lots of keeper mangrove snappers, several undersize gag groupers, a few snook, and one small tarpon hookup. Got broken off lots of times by big snook. I also caught spadefish and sandbream. Using baitfish 2-3 inches netted at the pier for snapper, snook, and grouper. Frozen shrimp for spades and sandbream. The snapper and sandbream were dinner several nights
Fished from the gulf-side beaches and caught several snook with a threadfin pattern bucktail. just making short cast from the shore.
Canoed in Ding Darling with my dad and got snook, trout, and redfish. Using freelined shrimp and sight fishing or DOA shrimp.
No pictures this time. I'll be heading back down for another two weeks this saturday. I'm bringing goliath grouper tackle and a buddy, so hopefully I'll have some crazy pictures then.
