Hey Catfish, Sorry for the late report. With all this rain, trying to clean up the tents, coolers, truck etc. has been a nightmare.
Got down to the beach Friday around 12:00 noon. Had camp set up and started fishing. No joke, first cast into the secound gut with a Mirro Lure, BLAM!!! at 26" trout. I walked back to camp to put it into the cooler and told my wife this might be a bad sign.....:( .
Well to my luck it wasn't.....Had really good fishing on the top water for trout. Really neat having them bust the top water into the air. Fishing was good enough that I didn't even throw out any long rod till night(Hardhead City).
Saturday same thing but changed to some soft plastic. Still good fishing.
As the evening was coming the wind and thunder clouds started to set-up and it looked like it was going to get ulgy. The other family wanted to get off the beach and that was fine. I told them I only live 2 hours away. They live in Victorville Ca.
As for the count. Ended up with 17 trout.
I should be down there next Friday and Saturday.

good job bro, sounds like a fun trip, my luck wasnt so good, I only used the long rods, and i was using a whole live bunker about the size of my hand as bait I had a small shark take a chunk out of it, but nothing more, it was kind of stormy while I was down so it wasnt the best trip, i'm headin back down to Port A on thursday and fishin the piers, at night on thursday, and friday and durring the day friday i'm takin a 6 hour guided bay trip for my birthday the wheather is sposed to be good, so it should be a good trip wish me luck ill be down thurs-sat
