Me and the wife are going down to PCB this weekend and I want to try fishing from the pier. The problem is that I'm afraid my rod/reel won't be able to handle it. I bought a cheap combo from bass pro to see if I'd enjoy surf/jetty fishing and I don't have $$ for a quality reel right now. I saw last time I went that they rent reels at the tackle shop. Are these worth anything? And what all do they include tackle wise?
