PCB - St. Andrews Bay 8/4 & 8/5

Headed out to St. Andrews State Park yesterday and fished on the jetties for a couple of hours.

Ended up catching several nice keeper snapper. Several around were catching lots of nice fish including one guy with a nice bull red. Ladyfish was in the mix also.

8/5 - Headed out this morning back to St. Andrews State Park for some more fishing. The fishing for me was a big skunk but my brother did well with a nice keeper spanish. Another guy fishing next to us hooked up several times and ended up landing a spanish about 30". Ended up giving it to us, said he wasn't set up to keep any fish. Saw several other spanish landed. Also saw another guy land one that looked like a little tunny.

Plenty of bait in the water. Saw several tarpon roll also.

Then it got blazing hot and we headed back to the beach house to get cool.

Going back this evening and will post the results.

A 30" spanish? Hmmmm, sounds more like a baby king. I was fishing about a half mile off the jetties last weekend and got into some nice spanish, but one that size makes me think king. Check the lateral line on it, if it goes straight and then makes a drop, it's a king.

BTW, weren't you supposed to call me when you got down here? :confused: Oh well, send me a PM and I might be able to get away some time in the evening this week.

nctrader...how long are you going to be down there? I will be getting down there tomorrow and would love to possibly meet up with either you or emanuel for some fishing on the jetties, pier or beach.
