Hey folks,

Trying to add product to the web, but I thought maybe you all could give me some suggestions of what you would like to see on there for the upcoming seasons.

I know this is a loaded question but I'll ask anyway....lol

You know the jist Greg. Just work on the areas that you click on and there is only 1 selection like knives and I forgot the others that lead to a dead end. I also notice you have alot of cool nick nacks in the store and not on the web page!!! Wait maybe I shouldnt mention that and hord it all for myself!!

A cafeteria-like lure, popper and rig menu that puts together a package for particular fishing targets and may include tiered pricing so the more you buy the less each item costs. Maybe something that is interactive and tied to the coastal explorer. So if you go to the map, pick a spot, it loads to fish species possible and then after selecting a target species it goes into layers of of terminal gear and bait, etc. Only reason I say this is that I'm getting more into planning trips beyond my usual places and each trip requires planning, planning and planning. I'm thinking once the framework is set up the members might assist with putting their terminal gear selections into the data.

Also might be nice to add a feedback/review area for products, but this may be an issue if people are slamming products and some manufacturer gets bent about it.

What Walt said and you may want to add tire deflaters as well as some other ORV accessories.

I like the idea about providing equipment options for specific fish. Not every one on here throws a heaver. How about lighter tackle for catching inshore speckled trout or puppy drum? Consider auctioning some lighter tackle and you might see interest.

Also some of photos of products are pretty miniature. You can't really tell what you're looking at.

Thanks!

I love your site, Greg, and thought that it really couldn't be improved on too much. But these guys are making some great suggestions!

I like the idea of tackle/rigs geared at different species. The old salts know what they want, but it would help newbies to say "I want to catch a striper (or trout or pompano or whatever)." and go right to a page that would have stuff geared for them.

I agree with some more smaller terminal tackle. Maybe a couple of the harder to find hooks, like Circle Demon 10/0 or Gami Big Eyes Circles.

I think there would be a big market for some DIY reel customization parts.

I know this is a huge step, but maybe some rod building supplies, esp for those of us who are just getting started.

Yeah man you can get a Go Daddy type girl for your store and she can model a T shirt (tight of course) that says "Surf Fishermen have longer rods" :D:D:D

In all seriousness I like the MirroLure idea.

Glass Minnows from Shore Lure Co

Yes! I haven't found those anywhere except down south. If we had a local spot for 'em, that's where I'd buy them,

finish products for those reconditioning rods?....packs of 25 or more of circle sea hooks so that all that are bored and stuck in cabin fever mode could at least tie thier own hooks?...avaulabilty and the means to ship bloodworms before the locals here receive them in Maryland (that will cookem good!)....lastly....try to have a broker or manufacturer to allow you to be a jobber to sell reel parts and spool replacements. We all know how well we beat up our spinning spools every year. good luck my fellow fisherman!

The Baitshack has been carrying them for a couple years now, I know the last time I was in the stock was low but I know he'll be getting a supply down the road.

- How about price comparison next to two major retailers (Basspro and Cabelas)?

- Information about any type of conservation or good cause that you support.

Perhaps some of the "soft" copper crimps like on some of the English tackle sites. They work wonders on the light bottom rigs.

I've heard good things about the tire deflators, and the way my knees are getting, I may get them. Once you get them set to your desired PSI (They have instructions on how to do this) you just screw them on teh valve stem and drive. While you drive they defalte the tires until the desired pressure is achieved.
