Nauset Beach (Orleans, MA) Conditions?

I'm considering buying an oversand vehicle permit this year - makes the surfcasting a while lot easier. Wondering if anyone on this site knows what shape the beach is in. Erosion problems? Wondering if I'm better going to Race Point but the down side is more gas :mad:
