Going to ACK next week

Going to ACK next week, for a long weekend.No kids, no wife, just an equally sick fishing buddy.
Only been there once, mainly fished Great Point.

Question #1 If Great Point is still closed due to Plovers, do I buy a Trustee beach access permit with only 1/2 of the beach available. Or, buy the municipal permit and try uncharted (for me) territory. Will only be doing ACK once this year,and it will be for 3 days and nights.I have never fished the inner Coatue water.

I am a lure caster who mainly chases stripers at night and sleeps and looks for blues during daylight.

I will spring for two permits if that means catching fish, but I only have 3 days up North.

Any advice is appreciated. Mataket looks inviting on the map, but I can't tell if I can access both sides of the water with 4X4.

I will be releasing our fish, and not taking them back to Md.
