Nephew's first Salt Water fish

Photo Details
Poster: cygnus-x1  (see this users gallery)

My nephew's (from Chicago) first salt water fish (croaker). One of a couple dozen we caught that day of which we kept a dozen for dinner.

It did not take him long to cast straight as an arrow. It makes me wonder how some of these idiots that haunt these piers can never learn to cast. It took him a good 10 casts and he figured it out!

Didn't take much. And yes he is 14.5 years old AND 5'11" !!! It is really funny when he pats me on the head and says "Hi Uncle Doug"

PS ... like the makeshift rod stand? That was a "Wait honey, don't toss that fan stand ... I bet I can use it for fishing ..." =)

"Makeshift"??? You've been using that rod stand all year! That puts it in the range of "custom".
