looks like the snake head fish. there is a poster in every tackle shop you are supposed to kill them i think

Anyone have any idea what this is? I don't think it's a snakehead. I caught two of these in the last two weeks off the shore on Naples. Ugly little farts.

bellies are long and good for flounder...thats what we use em for up here...other than that blues like em' chunked...

The two that I caught put up a suprisingly hard but short fight for their size. When I got them out of the water they were completely lifeless until I got them back in. You're right though, nasty ugly little thing. Both I caught were on a spoon that was nearly half their length. They must bite chunks out of whatever they eat. I would sure hate to get my hands anywhere near that mouth.
